Telespazio Belgium is looking for a highly skilled Security Officer to work in Transinne, Belgium.
Applicants must be eligible to obtain Security clearance from EU country.
What is expect:
- The Security Officer has the responsibility for the implementation of the Security Directives within the Security Zone for which he/she is responsible.
- The candidate Security Officer, with sufficient professional knowledge and expertise, to the Head of the Security Office for endorsement. The candidate will receive a dedicated briefing from the Security Office and shall be submitted to an exam. If successful, he/she is formally endorsed.
- The Security Officer has the final formal responsibility for the protection of Classified Information within his/her area of responsibility. For this reason, the Officer shall have direct access to the Information Protection Policy Officer and shall report requests or hierarchical pressure to violate or circumvent the applicable rules and procedures related to the protection of Classified Information.
- The Security Officer shall make a threat assessment and risk analysis related to the Security Zone he/she is responsible for.
- The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the security briefing of personnel being granted a PSC in his/her area of responsibility. In addition, he/she shall provide a security briefing for all personnel requiring access to the Area under his/her responsibility.
- The Security Officer is responsible for setting up and maintaining a security awareness programme for all personnel in his/her area of responsibility and shall keep records of the training/briefings provided and the attendance.
- The Security Officer is responsible for producing and maintaining the SECOPS for the Security Zone he/she is responsible for. These SECOPS are subject to the formal approval of the Head of the Security Office, prior to being operationally implemented.
- The Security Officer shall liaise close with the Policy Officers of the Security Office
What you offer:
- Master’s degree in Information Security, IT, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in information security, compliance and Security Clearance ESA SECRET.
- The candidate shall possess experience with Certification ISO 27001
- Cryptographic Experience is highly reccomanded
- Experience with governmental Authorities, ESA directives
- Direct experience with BEL NSA regulations
- Experience with Classified Transport
- Fluent in English and French languages
- Willingness to travel

Where
You will be working within ESEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in Belgium as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don’t expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to Belgium for this position.
