Senior Software Development Engineer

Telespazio Belgium can count on almost 40 years of experience in Space Operations Service & Engineering activities.

We provide a significant contribution to the most major Space programs of the European Space Agency and the European Union Agency for Space Programme. Our core business is to work on the ground to build bridges into space, contributing to the success of ambitious missions.

Currently, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer who will work for Telespazio Belgium, in the Netherlands.

What is expected from you:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development activities, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions (mainly with focus on databasing and user interfacing for internal digitalization and process streamlining), and maintaining awareness of state-of-the-art technologies.

• Act as the SCOE SW development responsible, ensuring alignment with organizational goals,
  identifying competence gaps,
• Organize and prioritize tasks according to SCOE requirements and needs,
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends,
• Propose the content of releases and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs),
• Collaborate with the Software Project Manager (SW PM) and Project Administrator (PA) to identify realistic dates for deliverables,
• Propose software architecture options for new products,
• Provide technical feedback for pre Bid/No-Bid assessments,
• Oversee the development of all tools, ensuring adherence to schedules and agreed decisions and guidelines,
• Provide mentorship and guidance to interns, promoting their professional growth and development, and ensuring their skills are efficiently used in the SCOE activities.
