Currently, we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Bid Manager who will work for Telespazio Belgium, in the Netherlands.

Under the Chief Commercial Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the entire bid process for high-value projects within the space sector. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop competitive and compelling proposals that meet customer requirements and align with our strategic objectives.

What is expected from you:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring timely and high-quality submission of proposals.
  • Collaborate with technical, commercial, legal, recruitment and project management teams to gather input and craft a persuasive bid that addresses customer needs and requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with bid submissions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Liaise with internal°external partners to understand their propositions, align with the bid requirements, address any queries or concerns during the bid process.
  • Prepare, review, and refine bid documents, including executive summaries, technical descriptions, pricing models, and contract terms.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand competitor strategies, pricing benchmarks, and industry trends that could impact bid outcomes.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with external (subcontractors and consortium partners) and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for bid strategies.
  • Monitor bid performance, gather feedback, and implement improvements in the bid process to enhance future success rates.
  • Ensure regular presence at our headquarter in Belgium.

What you offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or specialized certification in Bid Management or Proposal Writing is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in bid management, within a technology industry - the space / defense sector is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously
  • Familiarity with government contracts and international bidding processes.
  • Successful experience with cost estimation and financial modeling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Dutch, French is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bid management software tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to details.
